It's all change at Divemaster Scuba – 2024 marks the start of a new era for Reel Diving, with the establishing of a local facility for service, training and dealer support in the UK.

As of today (17 June) Reel Diving is taking over the Divemaster Scuba facility in Nottingham and rebranding it as Reel Diving UK. The facility will be changed from a retail and recreational training centre to a Santi, Suex, Halcyon, Ammonite and Shark Authorized Service and Warranty centre, as well as a training facility for Reel Diving dealers.

Reel Diving UK will also offer high-level technical courses such as CCR, cave, mine and DPV training up to instructor level, mirroring their operation in Gothenburg, Sweden. Just like in Sweden, there will be a showroom displaying the full range of their brands, but no retail sales – retail sales are done exclusively through Reel Diving dealers.

The facility includes a fully outfitted service workshop for drysuits, regulators, electronics such as lights and heating products, rebreathers, scooters and cylinders. As an IDEST-approved (9T) testing facility, they can offer hydraulic and visual testing, valve servicing and oxygen cleaning for steel, aluminium and composite cylinders.

The building also houses a gas-filling station, classroom, equipment showroom, and a purpose-built 4m deep, ten-metre diameter pool with fantastic visibility and a constant temperature of 29 degrees C. The pool has a 1.6m training platform which extends for 50% of the pool's surface area. The bottom of the pool is at a depth of 4m, which allows divers to swim for 30 metres in a circle.
