Ocean Turtle Diving London has launched a new dive centre – Scuba Dive London – based at the iconic London Aquatics Centre in Stratford.

Scuba Dive London is offering a multitude of training courses in the luxurious diving pool, made famous by Tom Daley at the London 2012 Olympics – with a moveable floor from 0m to 5m, it’s perfect for scuba diving training and enjoying a fun dive.

Owner and PADI Course Director Kerrie Eade says: “We are so excited to finally be able to expand our top-notch PADI training into the underserviced London market. Over the 20 years Ocean Turtle Diving has been operating, we’ve frequently had customers from London trek down the M3 to our store in Hampshire to dive and train with us, and now we can offer them the same first-class service in their home city.”

The facility at the London Aquatics Centre is certainly impressive

The launch day of the new centre on 1 June saw a multitude of new divers enjoying PADI Discover Scuba Dives in the pool, and lots of new divers, freedivers and qualified divers signing up to courses and trips.  The first full day of normal operation on the following Sunday meant that following the initial shallow water skills, Kerrie and the team were able to lower the floor to the maximum 5m depth and enjoy the incredibly spacious water on offer.

Ocean Turtle Diving is a PADI Career Development Centre, which means they offer dedicated professional level training and internships to take divers to Divemaster, Instructor and beyond. Kerrie is thrilled to be able to extend to professional level training into the London market too.

Last year saw Ocean Turtle Diving crowned as the busiest dive centre in the whole of the UK (in terms of PADI certifications issued). Kerrie notes: “Training is at the absolute heart of everything we do. My passionate team put their all into each and every student. Clearly our reputation is growing and word of mouth is our main source of new business – and the numbers speak for themselves.

“We all love what we do and I think that really transfers through to our customers, most of whom are with us for years and years as they grow as divers. Our new partnership with the London Aquatics Centre is a landmark development for our business and we are eager to now share our wealth of experience and our passion for diving with the people of London, Kent, Essex and beyond.”
